At WEXFORD DANCE ACADEMY…
what we help our students learn today prepares them for who they will be tomorrow. Dance does not come easily to all students; beauty, precision, and accuracy are built over time. As our students progress, their love and enjoyment for dance grows, and they learn the value of hard work.
is to establish a prestigiously recognized institute of dance offering the highest level of artistic education. This training creates a refined sensibility and developed appreciation for the unique art of dance among the students of the pre-professional and general divisions of the school.
Wexford Dance Academy encourages our dancers to pursue dance education in summer programs. WDA’s summer dance camps are typically held in July or August. Our students have also attended several prestigious schools nationwide.
Our dancers have been accepted and received scholarships to several schools including: ABT New York, Nashville Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Hubbard Street, Boston Ballet, Point Park, Charlotte Ballet, Alonzo King Lines, Chautauqua, Houston Ballet, SSDI/VVDI, Texas Ballet Theater and National Ballet of Canada. Congratulations to our dancers and their families.

Wexford Dance Academy features three studios with state of the art sprung floors, large viewing windows, and generous space. Our facilities also include a large dressing room and a central waiting area for parents and family.
All dancers should be on time or early for their class so they are warmed up and ready to dance. Those that are more than 10 minutes late, will be asked to watch class.
Students should wear the appropriate dress code leotard and pink Capezio tights to every class. Hair should be pulled back in a neat bun. No bare legs, sweatshirts, T-shirts, shorts, or baggy clothing will be allowed. Dancers who are inappropriately dressed may be asked to observe class. Students will need pink ballet slippers in leather or canvas, and a split sole is preferred (when the size allows). Black jazz shoes are required for level 2 and up. Tap shoes should also be black, with a velcro or buckle closure for the younger dancers. All shoes should be Bloch or Capezio and should be purchased at “All That Jazz” or at “Stayin’ Alive”. Cheap and poorly fitted shoes are a danger to the dancer and those around her and will not be permitted in the studio. Please see Liz or Beth with any questions about shoes or their fit.
One make-up class will be allowed per semester. Make-ups will be done at the appropriate level, and the staff must be alerted of the make-up day and time.
Although food and beverages are permitted in the studio, please keep an eye on small children and alert the staff if an accident happens.
We also expect our students to clean up and discard any food or drink items while at the studio.
WDA has gone Green – Please Recycle!
Please refrain from bringing any products containing peanuts into the studio as several dancers have severe allergies.
The dance floor is strictly for dancers and teachers. Please do not allow your children to draw/color on the floor, and keep all toys in the carpeted area.
Please keep all necessary conversation to a minimum during classes.
Cell phones must be on the vibrate mode. Most guest teachers prefer solitude and you may observe the final 15 minutes of their classes. Guest musicians prefer to have the room silent; please respect their time and talent.
There is an annual registration fee of $20.00 per family.
The performance fee is $50 per student if paid on time / $80 for late payments.
